Guilty as charged. We love our long and unnecessary descriptions. I always find that when I write essays I'm at least a good 1 or 2 thousand over the word limit so I have to go back and cut out all the superfluous words.
Ahaha, this is so true. When I try to write poetry, it ends ups too long that I find it easier to just put it in prose format. Sort of like poetic prose, I guess. But yeah, prose writers don't know when to shut up when writing.
